Membership is open to all individuals engaged in, working with, or concerned about the discipline of communication.
The types of membership in PCA will be: Institutional, Sustaining, Regular,Student, Retired Faculty, and Honorary Life.
Persons applying for membership in the Institutional, Sustaining, Retired Faculty or Regular categories become members upon written application and payment of current dues. Membership is for one year, commencing September 1 and expiring August 31.
Honorary Life membership is granted automatically to all former PCA presidents who are members at the time of their employment retirement. Other honorary life memberships may be conferred upon a member at the time of employment retirement by a majority vote of the Executive Council, When the council decides that the member’s contribution to his/her life’s work and PCA warrant special recognition. All Honorary Life members will be notified of their recognition by the executive secretary and their names will be printed in the yearly PCA convection program.
